605Buzz has combined its repeated Sturgis rally listings into one article each
The rally calendar publishes a recurring event once for every date it runs, and 605Buzz had been writing an article for each of those entries — so the same contest appeared dozens of times. Each recurring listing is now a single article carrying all of its dates, and the duplicate articles have been withdrawn.

The Sturgis rally events calendar publishes a recurring event as a separate entry for every date it runs. A contest held three times a day for nine days is twenty-seven entries on that calendar, not one.
605Buzz reads the calendar and writes an article per entry, so it was publishing that contest twenty-seven times — same venue, same price, same organiser, differing only in the clock. On the events page it crowded out everything else, and a reader looking for what was on tonight scrolled past the same listing over and over.
That has changed. Where the calendar lists one event on several dates, 605Buzz now publishes one article carrying every date it is listed for, with a link to the organiser's own page for each of them.
The listings this covers, and how many calendar entries each had:

The 27 articles that covered those dates one at a time have been retracted. They were accurate when they were published, and they are not being withdrawn because anything in them was wrong — they are being withdrawn because the same information is now in one place, and leaving both would tell a reader this calendar lists far more events than it does. Each retracted address still works: it explains that the listing was consolidated, points at the article that now covers it, and keeps its full publication history in the corrections ledger.
Nothing was removed from the rally calendar and nothing about any event changed. This is a change to how 605Buzz publishes, not a change to what Sturgis is holding.
One thing this does not cover. Some of these listings had dates that had already passed before the change was made, and the calendar stops publishing a date once it is behind us — so those dates are not in the combined articles, and the articles covering them have been left exactly as they are. They are this site's only record of what the calendar said, and withdrawing a true record of something that has already happened would be deletion, not tidying.
